How do I apply?
HCA Houston hospitals invite you to apply in the manner that best meets your needs.
Your options include:
- Apply online
- Apply in person at the hospital(s) of your choice.
- Call hospital telephone joblines to hear listing of current openings.
- Mail or email your resume.
- Visit our Locations page for address, email, and jobline information.
For what jobs are applications and resumes accepted?
Applications are accepted only for jobs that are posted through the hospitals' job posting
processes. You can hear a complete listing of all open positions by calling the
hospital joblines.
What is the minimum number of hours for which an employee must be regularly scheduled to be considered full time?
In order to qualify for most full-time benefits, an employee must have "normal hours"
of at least 64 hours per two-week pay period.
What is a "PRN" position?
PRN (sometimes called "Pool") positions offer flexible schedules that
have variable hours. These positions are designed to allow the hospital to respond to
changing patient census and volumes while providing employees flexibility with scheduling.
What kind of salary can I expect?
There are a number of factors that we consider when determining salary. These include
salary range for the position, related work experience, and candidate's background and
education. Hospital recruiters can provide additional information about salary and
other related pay practices for specific jobs.
Do you offer Sign-On Bonuses?
Each facility offers various sign-on bonuses for select positions. Additional information
is available from the hospital recruiter.
What kind of benefits package do you offer?
We offer a comprehensive benefits program that allows our staff members to personalize their

When do new employees become eligible for health insurance benefits?
New full-time and part-time employees are eligible for benefits after they have completed 30
days of employment.
Is relocation assistance available?
Relocation reimbursement is available for some positions (you must be relocating at
least 100 miles to qualify).
What kind of training and development opportunities do you offer?
Each hospital maintains a comprehensive staff development program which includes classroom
and on the job training, skills training labs, online and computer based training, external
educational opportunities and self-paced learning options.
Do you offer tuition reimbursement?
Yes, full-time and part-time employees are eligible for tuition reimbursement. You can
apply for tuition reimbursement after three months of service. Full-time employees can
receive up to $3,600 annually for courses that are job related and taken at accredited
colleges or universities.
Do you offer nursing internships?
Most HCA Houston facilities offer RN internships at selected times of the year. These
are offered to Graduate Nurses and nurses wishing to try new specialties. For more
