POSITION SUMMARY
The Licensed Vocational Nurse holds accountability to provide direct patient care by utilization of the nursing process in accordance with the established policies and procedures of Bayshore Medical Center/East Houston Regional Medical Center. Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff.


Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Licensure/ Certification/ Registration: Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the State of Texas is required. Current BLS certification required. Current NRP
preferred.

Education: Graduated from an accredited LVN program required.

Experience: Minimun 2 years of OB/GYN experience, preferred.

Special Qualifications: Successful completion of hospital, general nursing, and unit specific orientation. Effective oral and written communication skills. Proficiency with computer technology. Ability to work well with others in a team environment to ensure quality patient care. Strong problem solving and customer service skills. Able to read, write, speak and comprehend English and Spanish. Schedule is Monday through Friday.
